About Cary Grant
Cary Grant (1904-1986) was a British-born American actor who starred in over 70 films between 1932 and 1966. He was known for his transatlantic accent, debonair demeanor, light-hearted approach to acting, and sense of comic timing. He was one of the definitive leading men of classic Hollywood cinema and a master of romantic comedy.

Cary Grant was nominated twice for the Academy Award for Best Actor, for Penny Serenade (1941) and None but the Lonely Heart (1944), but never won. He received an honorary Oscar in 1970 for his unique mastery of the art of screen acting. He also received the Kennedy Center Honor in 1981 for his lifetime achievement in the performing arts. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest actors of all time and a major influence on many actors who followed him. He was ranked the second greatest male star of the Golden Age of Hollywood by the American Film Institute in 1999.
