About This Artwork
“Telepathic Dreams” is a breathtaking study in symmetry and light. The vibrant green tones on the left merge perfectly with the fiery gold on the right, creating a visual representation of balance and connection. At the centre, the flowing lines seem to form an ethereal face or eye, drawing the viewer into a state of deep focus.
The Artisan Process: From Bridge to Abstract
These are not AI-generated images. This piece began as an original photograph of the Tyne Bridge in Newcastle, captured by Michael Paul Bennett.
Using Adobe Photoshop, he converted the image into a Smart Object and began a meticulous layering process. He applied the Mezzotint filter—which includes long strokes—alongside distortion techniques like Twirl to break the bridge apart and create these fluid shapes. Finally, he adjusted the colour balance of the layers and used Adobe Lightroom to deep-dive into the shadows, achieving that signature deep black background and vibrant colour pop.
